Spanish: Level 2: Can-do Statements

The following are statements that you should be able to make about your abilities in Spanish upon completion of your study of Level 2: Unit 2. If you don't feel comfortable making those statements, use this site and the Level 2 Activity Booklet to continue practicing until you feel comfortable.

Unit 2 Can-do Statements

At the restaurant...

  • I can interact with restaurant staff and other customers in a restaurant by:
    • reading a restaurant menu.
    • ordering and paying for the meal.
    • commenting on food and service.
    • requesting items I need (e.g., ketchup, salt, knife, napkin).
  • I can make choices about restaurants/food based on:
    • a restaurant review.
    • reading a restaurant menu.
    • what I want or need to eat.
  • I can say where I went yesterday.
  • I can say what I ate yesterday.

In the store...

  • I can say where different foods are sold.
  • I can purchase an item I need in a food store.
  • I can say to which store I went yesterday.

At home...

  • I can say what I eat and drink (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, holidays/family traditions)...
  • I can say what I ate and drank.
